Patio Paving Delivery Guidelines

Our aim is to make the deliveries as smooth and effective as possible so your project starts smoothly. "Stress-free is the way to be—leave the rest to us"

HERE’S A FEW POINTS TO KEEP IN MIND:

We partner with The Pallet Network for our deliveries across UK. Before placing your order, please go through our following recommendations.

  • Its mandatory to enter postcode at checkout page to calculate any delivery surcharges (applicable to your area) and to select your preferred delivery options such as Next-Day Delivery, Specified Day Delivery or Saturday Delivery before placing your order.
  • You are able to opt for a Free Flexible Date Delivery or a Specified Date Delivery giving you the flexibility to align delivery according to your preparation schedule. However, please note that changes may occur due to unforeseen circumstances such as adverse weather conditions or road closures/diversions caused by events. In such scenarios we will get in touch with you to arrange an alternative delivery date.
  • We strongly recommend you do not book builder or trade person on the strength of delivery dates or time frames, and we recommend you receive and check items from us before any preparatory work is taken.
  • It is important to allow at least one day’s gap in advance, so that any unforeseen delays do not impact your project. PATIO PAVING cannot be liable for any costs arising from delivery issues.
  • Any failed deliveries will incur a REDELIVERY FEE of £40 per pallet. Customers should inform us of any access problems prior to placing order. Pallets can only be collected or delivered at ground-level locations with solid surfaces only; deliveries cannot be made on soft wet grass or loose gravel driveways.
  • If for some reason a customer wants to return goods, please read our 14 DAY – RETURN POLICY. Please contact our customer services team within 72 hours of delivery who will be happy to resolve any problems.
  • After you place the order, we email you the tracking details, including the consignment number. You can also track your order on the Patio Paving website via the link provided in the footer under TRACK ORDER.
  • We make every effort to meet delivery schedules, however delivery in all above cases can be delayed in case of unforeseen circumstances as we are dependant on third party providers.

Our standard delivery method features a single-person, kerbside service with a tail-lift and manual pallet truck, delivering to a firm, level surface at the kerb or roadside.
Vehicle Dimensions: Height – 4M, Length – 11M, Width – 2.55M

Each crate weighs up to one tonne and will be moved manually with a pallet truck.

Vehicles require clear, unobstructed access to the kerbside to ensure a smooth delivery process.
Please Note: Delivery vehicles demand a different access level compared to bin lorries, and an open, unobstructed path must be maintained along the road throughout the delivery process.

 You may choose from the three delivery options listed below, according to your preference:

Free Flexible Date Delivery: Orders delivered within 2 to 4 business days. Also, delivery to certain postcodes may take longer, around 3–5 working days ex: AB, DD, IE1, IV1–40, PO30–41, BT, KW1–14, PH, GY, IM, HS, IV41–55, KA27–28, KW15+, PA20+, ZE.-28 / KW 15+ / PA 20+ / ZE. (Subject to additional delivery surcharge)


Specified Date Delivery: Our delivery partner TPN also offers a specified delivery date service, ensuring shipments are delivered on your chosen date and time slot (am/pm). (Subject to delivery surcharge of £15 per order, regardless of the  number of pallets)

Next Day Delivery: Can be opted for urgent deliveries that ensure shipments arrive by the following working day with an additional surcharge of £ 15 per pallet.

Please inspect your goods upon delivery before signing the delivery note or Proof of Delivery (POD). If you identify any issues, please mark the delivery as ‘Damaged’ upon signing. Additional details on this process are further below on this page.

If you are unable to check or sign for the goods yourself, we recommend appointing someone to do so on your behalf. Should you prefer the goods to be left without a signature, please indicate this in the customer-provided notes during checkout.

All lead times are tentative, and delivery dates shown on the invoice are approximate. Patio Paving does not guarantee exact delivery times.

Timed and Saturday Delivery services are available on request.

Saturday Delivery: £55

Couriers will not call to book Saturday deliveries; however, you will receive an estimated time slot on the day.

Free Flexible Standard Delivery (2 – 4 Working Days)

Next Day Delivery
£12 per pallet

Orders and payment must be received before 11 AM.

Couriers will not call to book Express or Next Day deliveries.

Delivery Procedure
We sent out the orders for delivery through courier (The Pallet Network Company). All deliveries will be made on a wagon that has a tail lift and a pallet truck. Access must be made for a lorry (up to 32ft) otherwise additional delivery charges may be payable. You must advise us of any restrictions that will impede the delivery vehicles from delivering the Products. The Products will be delivered to the kerbside outside. Our couriers are not insured to take goods onto your premises without permission. If you require the driver to come onto your property with the wagon, the products, or both, this is entirely at your own risk and if the driver or wagon damages anything (including but not limited to, manhole covers, tarmac driveways, block paved drives, flagged driveways / gravelled or stoned driveways, grassed areas, walls, pillars, gate posts, gates, trees, hedges, telephone wires, lights) the cost of repair will be your responsibility.
Ensure that the delivery area is flat and solid enough to take the weight of a pallet truck carrying up to 1000 kg in weight. Please note Gravel and Grass are not classed as solid and flat. If the delivery area is not flat the driver will require help in getting the pallets off the vehicle. If help cannot be given there will be a redelivery charge to deliver at a time when help can be given. If you live on a hill, then for health and safety reasons the pallet(s) may have to be delivered to the nearest flat ground. It will be your responsibility to move the goods to your property.
 
Re-deliveries and Damaged Goods
All deliveries need to be fully inspected prior to signing for them, this is for insurance purposes and any damages need to be noted on the signature sheet. If you are not at the delivery address to “Receive the Products” or have not arranged “Anybody Else to Receive the Products” on your behalf, the courier driver will not leave the goods. A surcharge will be made and also another charge will be made for the cost to re-deliver. The cost will be reasonable and will be charged at the courier rate only. If you refuse or are unable to accept the goods at the time of delivery, a surcharge and re-delivery charge will apply.
 
Breakages

In a perfect world, this wouldn’t happen — but as we all know, life isn’t perfect!

Our stone is ethically sourced in India. It is carefully crated and will next see the light of day when you unpack it. In between, it travels from the quarry to the docks, is loaded into a container, shipped across the high seas for about six weeks, then unloaded in the UK. From there, it reaches us, you purchase it, and we finally arrange transport to you.
During all this movement, the occasional breakage may occur. Unfortunately, replacements are not an option, as these would likely be damaged again in transit. Please remember that most broken flags can still be used for cuts. We — along with every other manufacturer and supplier — recommend allowing at least 10% extra for cuts and breakages (and perhaps the odd piece you might not like the look of!).

Because of this, refunds or replacements will only be issued in exceptional circumstances. However, if there is significant damage (more than 10%), please let us know — we do check — and we will do all we can to resolve the issue. If you’re ordering close to the exact quantity you need, please inform us in advance, and we’ll try to offer ideas or suggestions. We hope you appreciate our honesty and can be a little reasonable in return. “Almost all flags may show small scuff or rub marks during transit; these are typically very minor and will fade shortly after the paving is laid.”

 
Damage on Delivery

If you notice any damage upon delivery, or suspect that the goods may be damaged, please sign the delivery note as “Damaged on Delivery”. If this is not done, we may be unable to make a successful insurance claim and therefore cannot replace the goods.

If you are unable to check the goods at the time of delivery, please sign the note as “Unchecked”.

 
Extra Delivery Options (Crane or Forklift)
Please note: We cannot offer the crane or forklift service for less than 7 packs/pallets
PATIO PAVING has access to its own fleet of vehicles which have the options of Hiab offloading (lorry with crane and grab). Some customers require this service as kerbside deliveries are no good to them. These services allow customers to have their goods delivered to places normal delivery companies cannot reach. Should you require one of these services then please ask and we will happy to quote you.
 
Timed Delivery Options

Normally, the delivery company delivers orders at any time between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Monday–Friday).
If required, PATIO PAVING can offer special timed delivery services.
The options include:

* Free Flexible Date Delivery
* Specified Date Delivery
* Saturday Deliveries
* Next Day Deliveries (11am Cut Off , Full Packs Only & Mon – Fri, Excluding Bank Holidays)

The availability and pricing of these options vary considerably, but PATIO PAVING will always be able to advise you on the choices available to you. If you are desperate and the 11 a.m. cut-off has passed, or you need a split pack, please phone us as we may still be able to help. Orders placed over the weekend or on public holidays will be collected on the following working day and delivered according to the appropriate selected delivery service.
With timed delivery services, there is a leeway of 30 minutes either side of the specified delivery arrival time. This is set by the delivery networks in accordance with Road Haulage Association rules, and not by PATIO PAVING.

 
Lead Times
Any dates specified for the delivery of Products are intended as estimates, and time for delivery shall not be of the essence. However, once payment has been received, we aim to deliver all orders within 7 working days for orders placed before 11:00 am, with most orders being delivered well before this timeframe, provided the products are in stock. Our delivery company will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date and time. Delivery can be made to an address different from your billing address. Please ensure you provide a contact telephone number in case we need to reach you regarding your order.
 
International Shipping
We are able to ship internationally but do have to price up each job specifically. We regularly ship to Jersey and Guernsey and various regions of France where our customers find it is still cheaper to buy from us rather than local merchants who dont have the range of stock that PATIO PAVING does. Size does not matter, we can ship a manhole cover or 28 tons of paving direct to you.
Non-Delivery of Goods / Damaged Goods
We will not be liable for any non-delivery of goods or the delivery of damaged goods unless the ALL following is strictly complied by:
1) You give written notice to us of the problem within 24 hours of the date when the goods would in the ordinary course of events have been received.
2) Sign the delivery sheet as damaged goods, giving a detailed description.
3) Photos of each damaged item are also required as proof for the insurance company, these can be sent via email.
4) A telephone call should also be made to us to ensure we have received your notice.
 
Liability

If any of the goods delivered to you by PATIO PAVING are not what you ordered, are damaged, or are of incorrect quantity, you must notify us in writing within 10 days of delivery. Notification after this period will incur no liability whatsoever on the part of PATIO PAVING.

Similarly, if you have not received the goods you ordered within 14 days of the order date, we will have no liability unless notified in writing within 10 days following this 14-day period.

Our only liability in these situations will be to issue a partial or full refund, or to replace the goods in question. Patiopavings.co.uk will not be liable for any loss, damage, or expenses, whether direct, indirect, or consequential, resulting from the above situations or from the use of products purchased on Patiopavings.co.uk.

 
NATURAL STONE DISCLAIMER

PLEASE READ THIS DOCUMENT CAREFULLY. BY PURCHASING NATURAL STONE PRODUCTS, YOU CONFIRM YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THIS DISCLAIMER. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ANY PART OF THIS DISCLAIMER, YOU MUST NOT PURCHASE ANY NATURAL STONE PRODUCTS.

Natural stones are products of nature. Therefore, variations in colour, pattern, texture, and veining must be accepted. These differences should be considered part of the beauty of natural stone rather than flaws.

The purchaser acknowledges that natural stones vary in colour, pattern, and texture. The actual stone delivered may differ from the sample or pictures shown. Additional stone ordered at a later date may be more expensive and cannot be guaranteed to match the original stone.

All samples are provided to give a general idea of colour variation and veining. Most of our samples are small (e.g., 4×4 or 12×12 inches), and PATIO PAVING does not guarantee or provide full-size samples (16×16, 18×18, 24×24, or any other size) unless special arrangements are made.

RISK AND TITLE
The Products are at your risk from the time of delivery. Ownership of the Products passes to you only when full payment has been received, including delivery charges.
 
PATIO PAVING is not responsible for any stains, fissures, cracks, or breakage that may occur after the tiles are installed and accepted in good condition.
 
PATIO PAVING reserves the right to amend this Natural Stone Disclaimer and all other terms and conditions on this website at any time without prior notice.
 
All product images on www.patiopavings.co.uk are provided to give a general idea of colour, veining, and variation. Misconceptions may occur due to:
•Natural stones varying from one consignment to the next.
•Lighting changes in pictures making products appear different in real life.
•Computer monitors interpreting colours differently.
 
We strive to improve picture quality to accurately represent our products. Due to website limitations, high-resolution images are limited. Customers are encouraged to request pictures of the current lot for the product(s) of interest. Samples are also available on request.
 
Delivery Cut-Off Time (Same day Dispatch)

The cut-off time for same-day dispatch is 12:00 pm (noon). Orders placed after this time will be dispatched the next working day.

For example, an order placed at 2:00 pm for next-day delivery on Monday will be dispatched on Tuesday for delivery on Wednesday.

 
Late Delivery / Compensation

We strongly advise against arranging tradespeople or equipment hire until the goods have been delivered, due to potential unforeseen delays. Deliveries are carried out by a third-party delivery company.

While we make every effort to deliver within the estimated timeframe, delivery times are not guaranteed. PATIO PAVING cannot be held responsible for delays beyond our control, and you are not entitled to any compensation.
